Vincent Hancock, a U.S. Army veteran who served in the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning, GA, secured the fourth Olympic gold medal of his shooting career in men’s skeet. The event involves shooting at clay targets launched from two different heights and angles. Hancock served in the Army for six years and left the service in 2012 to help his father open Hancock Shooting Academy in Eatonton, GA.

Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions: Silver

Conner Lynn Prince won the silver medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions event. This event requires shooters to fire at a target from prone, standing, and kneeling positions. The first-time Olympian’s consistent precision across all three positions earned her a spot on the podium.

Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions: Silver

Sagen Maddalena, a two-time Olympian and current member of the U.S. Army, brought home silver in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions. Maddalena enlisted for active duty in the Army in 2019 and now serves as a competitive shooter and instructor for the Fort Benning Marksmanship Unit in Georgia.

Women’s Skeet: Bronze

Austen Jewell Smith won the bronze medal in women’s skeet. Like men’s skeet, this event involves shooting at clay targets launched from two different stations. Smith's strong performance in her Olympic debut highlighted her skill in this high-pressure competition. The 23-year-old also competed in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
