Sordin Models for Military & Law Enforcement

Sordin Models for Military & Law Enforcement

With so many models and variations, it can be hard to understand which of Sordin’s ear defenders is right for you. We put together a guide to help you choose exactly what you need out in the field.

This guide will tell you about the features of Sordin's MIL family, which has been specifically developed for military and law enforcement. We’ll give you the basics for both the AUX and CC versions, then we’ll talk about the different variations and extra features in detail.

Sordin's Supreme MIL Series

Originally designed for military use, Sordin‘s active hearing protective gear is built for action.
Sordin uses the same foundations when crafting each model, ensuring that all models meet the highest base standard.

For military and law enforcement, we recommend using a product from the Supreme MIL line.
Sordin variants for hunting, sports shooting and industrial work are also available under the Pro-X or Pro line (including our own Ace AlphaTac variant).

Find the Perfect Sordin Supreme Model for You

The Supreme MIL AUX model uses Sordin's revised 'Slim' headband design - perfect for shooting and people with larger heads!
Its AUX port allows you to connect a radio device, although you will need a separate microphone for communication.
Like all products from the Supreme line, it boasts 1:4 ambient noise amplification for perfect situational awareness.

If you don't want to use an external microphone with your radio device and communication is key to you, the Supreme MIL CC will be your closest ally in training and combat situations!
Thanks to a Nexus TP120 connector and an adjustable boom microphone, you can always stay in touch with your squad mates.
Even loud environments won't hinder your communication - thanks to the mic's premium noise cancelling!

Model Variations

Slim: Wider and More Flexible Headband

Slim versions have an ultra flexible headband, which is great for users with wider head shape.
An adjustable headband ensures that you can get the perfect fit as well.
The cups can be removed from their mounting points and attached to ARC rail adapters, further increasing the utility of the Slim models.

SFA: Like Iron Shields for Your Ears

The SFA (or Sordin Flexible Attenuation) version provides maximum protection from sound damage, bringing up the SNR of your headset by 4-5 dB, depending on the model.
Added protection comes from increased cup volume thanks to the SFA booster ring and thicker attenuation foam than on the standard models.
The SFA variation is only available for the MIL AUX model.

Neckband: Comfort During the Entire Mission

Instead of a headband, neckband variations come with a high-mounted neckband.
The padded metal neckband sits high enough so that it won’t tug on your collar or prevent you from looking up.
Adjust the fit with the thin hook and pile strap for maxiumum comfort and the perfect fit. Ideal for anyone who regularly wears hats or helmet.

ARC: Even Better for Helmet Users

If the neckband version isn't sufficient for you and you want to use your Sordin only in combination with a ballistic helmet, the ARC models are the perfect variation for you.
They can be connected to any ARC rail helmet with no need for a separate adapter.
Our pro tip: You can also use any of the Slim type Sordins with ARC rails as well, but you will need to cut off the leather headband and get an ARC adapter (also available from us) - buying a dedicated ARC version saves you the hassle though!
