Sordin’s HEAR2 Technology: unleashing your hearing potential
Building upon the original HEAR framework found in Supreme Pro models, HEAR2 allows you to choose from four audio profiles: hunting, focus, shooting or comms. The internal technology adjusts ambient sound reproduction and volume levels, providing you with the perfect combination of hearing and protection based on your setting.
Each profile, explained
Hunting is the go-to audio profile, perfect for a regular day on the hunt. The internal processing units balance clear, ambient sound like speech with quiet sound. You can talk with your buddies while picking up the paws of your prey from hundreds of feet away.
In those tense moments before your shot, you need to stay on full alert. The focus setting provides high amplification and a wider frequency spectrum to help you direct all your attention on setting your target. Even if your shot isn’t clear, the focus setting will help guide your ears toward your prey- your hearing will be just as good as theirs.
The shooting profile has a lower gain and narrower audible frequency spectrum: perfect for a day in the shooting range. This comfort setting focuses on protecting your ears from the sound of gunfire when your situational awareness is high.
Use the comms setting when you need to extra time to gain intel from your troops. This profile turns off ambient sound, activating only passive protection so you can discuss your plan of action with others. The 3.5-mm AUX input remains active, so you can use your connected device for clear communication even in a shooting range.
How to navigate between audio profiles
Every Sordin has only three control buttons on the ear cup: one for volume reduction on the left, one for volume amplification on the right, and one for power in the middle. On Supreme Pro-X models, these buttons also allow you to switch between audio profiles.
- For comms: Click the left button until you have set the volume to its minimum, then hold until you hear 3 low-pitched beeps.
- For hunting and shooting: Click the middle button once. When you hear one beep, you are in hunting mode. Click the middle button once more to switch to shooting mode, where you will hear two beeps.
- For focus: Start in the hunting profile. Click the right button until it is set at its maximum, then hold until you hear three high-pitched beeps.
